Christmas Day Cocktails don’t have to be loaded with alcohol.
In fact, some of the best cocktails to savour at Christmas time don’t include alcohol at all.
Perhaps you’re sober and want something delicious to drink throughout the silly season. Or maybe you’re more interested in pacing yourself and zebra striping on Christmas Day.
Whatever your reason for searching for Christmas cocktail inspiration, you don’t have to compromise on flavour or fun, when you opt for zero proof drinks.
Let us introduce you to some of our favourite festive tipples, that can be enjoyed on Christmas Eve without ruining the main event.
One of the best things about creating Christmas cocktails sans alcohol is that you can really enjoy the process of creating them.
Rather than rushing, skipping a few ingredients and essentially putting more effort into drinking the cocktail than making it, you can slow down and enjoy the process.
Bartenders and home mixologists alike are experimenting with various ingredients, flavours, and techniques to elevate the Christmas day mocktail experience. The focus is now on using fresh fruits, herbs, and unique flavour combinations that mimic the complexity of traditional cocktails.
Ingredients like turmeric, ginger, and activated charcoal are becoming popular, offering not only flavour but also added health benefits. Mocktails are no longer just sweet and simple; they are elaborate, well-balanced drinks that can stand toe-to-toe with their alcoholic counterparts.
Before you begin, consider how you can make your mocktails feel special.
Use the same glassware you would for a traditional cocktail and match your mocktail with a garnish you’d see on the original. You can also opt for decorations that feel Christmassy to add some fun. Icing sugar as “snow” and tinsel around the glass work perfectly.
Gingery, warming and delicious. We love this Wintery Mule during the festive period. With ginger and lime, some may even call it a health booster.

150ml Light Ginger Beer
Half a Lime, squeezed
Mint Sprig, to garnish
Method:
Fill a glass with ice
Pour in Clean T and light ginger beer
Add lime juice and mix thoroughly
Garnish with mint and lime slice

Fill the glass with crushed ice, almost to the top.
Top with Ginger Ale: Add a splash of ginger ale to top off the drink, giving it a festive, warming twist.

It wouldn’t be Christmas without something bubbly.
And whose to say you can’t take part in the “cheers” with a non alcoholic cocktail. For a refreshing and vibrant christmas day special, a Cranberry Spritzer is an excellent choice.

50ml cranberry juice
25ml lime juice
Frozen berries
Sparkling water
